Thurgood Marshall was a landmark individual who conquered much uncharted territory. He was the first African American to serve on the Supreme Court of the United States of America. As a lawyer and litigator, he won numerous groundbreaking cases including "Brown vs. Board of Education". He was Chief Counsel for the NAACP and embarked upon some of the most poignant cases to this day involving predjudice, segregation, labor, and taxes. He is the lawyer solely responsible for the abolishment of the "separate but equal" law system. A historical hero he truly was, with an airport named after him and now an amazing bottle cork modeled in his likeness.
